Ingredients

  • 1 clove garlic, minced and sautéed in 1/2 tsp olive oil (or 1/8 tsp granulated garlic + 1/4 tsp olive oil)
  • 1 brick cream cheese softened
  • 1 Tbsp sour cream
  • 1/8 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 2 tsp minced fresh chives
  • 2 tsp minced parsley (or 1/2 tsp dried)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan or frying pan, sauté the garlic in oil until soft but not burned (about 30 seconds). Scrape into a small bowl to cool.

  2. In a medium sized mixing bowl or the bowl of an electric mixer, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the cooled garlic and remaining ingredients, and beat until well combined. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and beat a little longer to make sure everything is well incorporated and smooth.

  3. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator until serving. Serve on toast, bagels, or as an appetizer topping.
