Simple 3-Ingredient Chocolate Sauce

This simple homemade chocolate sauce is made with just 3 ingredients: chocolate chips, cream and vanilla. Perfect for an ice cream and dessert topping with almost no prep time!

Ingredients

  • 1.5 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 c. half and half cream (10% milk fat)
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Measure the chocolate and cream into a small heavy-bottomed saucepan. Place the pan over medium-low heat, and whisk frequently until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth. Remove from the heat and whisk in vanilla.
  2. Serve immediately or pour into an airtight jar or container for storage.

    This chocolate sauce will stay liquid at room temperature for several hours, but as it sits longer, it will begin to set.

  3. Store your chocolate fudge sauce in the refrigerator. Re-warm until the consistency is restored before use.
