NaomiCakes – my blog – has been a labour of love for the past number of years that’s never really reached its full potential. I started my blog in 2012 as “Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice” on Blogger with the hope of making something great out of it. Or at least, with the hope of creating a springboard for greatness. Today, I’ve decided to resurrect it on WordPress, with the hope of reviving a sleeping dream, and making old hopes come alive again.

You see, it’s been my dream for a lot of years now to write a cookbook, sharing some practical, how-to recipes for people like myself: People who love all things kitchen, but are still learning some of the ins and outs of what it means to be a great chef at home. My aim was to first bless you with whatever I could come up with on my blog, while working to improve my skills, and (hopefully) gain a little following on the internet… After all, it would be depressing (I thought) to publish a book that no one knew about or cared to buy.

So, 4 years later, here I am: back at the beginning again, with a dream, a camera, and a lot of old content. My plan is to re-invent and re-post my old work onto this new site, with of course, the hope of bringing in some new content in between.

I’m committed to some time in Germany this coming fall and into next spring – So while the “New” stuff will be slow in coming (I won’t be able to blog much over there), perhaps you can follow my adventures on Instagram, and by the time I come back I’ll be back in the kitchen again, dreaming, baking, and trying to be your friend. 😉
