Okay, so let me explain you to this week’s blogging… It is funny. To me it’s funny anyway. So if you read this and feel like, “What is so funny about this?” – Just imagine me crying laughing as I tell you the story, and then you can find something to laugh about. Because *I* think it’s funny, and I’ve heard that my laugh, on its own, is something to laugh at. 😉
Once upon a time, before Christmas, I was in the Chapters book store. I was going to buy one thing, probably about a $20 value. Then, unsuspecting customer that I was, I was perusing the gift section (I like the gift section), and someone (an employee) walked up to me and told me that if I spent $40, I could get $10 in points toward my next purchase.
OH MY WORD, FREE MONEY! (That’s what my brain was yelling.)
For some reason, in the frenzy of “This is such a good deal,” I quickly gathered up an armload of $20 worth more of… Stuff. I mean, nice stuff. Stuff I wanted. But still, thinking back, it probably wasn’t the wisest thing I’ve ever done…
…Anyway, YESTERDAY, I was in Chapters again. And I wasn’t gonna buy anything. Not– One– Single– Item. After all, I don’t have a job at the moment, so I shouldn’t be buying stuff. BUT THEN I SAW THIS!
I probably shouldn’t have been browsing the cook books/gift section, since that is my favourite section, and full of my favourite things. After reading the title of this book, I picked it up thinking “Oh this is going to be silly…” But then, I flipped through it and immediately felt that it was a kindred spirit. It was like… My friend I hadn’t met yet. I LOVED IT. So, I was like, “I have to buy this.”
When I impulse buy, I always have to rationalize to myself why it’s a good idea. So here was my rationale…
“I haven’t updated my blog this week – I’ve been too busy!”
…
“THIS IS AMAZING! I could feature it on my blog!”
…
“AND I HAVE $10 OFF MY NEXT PURCHASE!!!!!”
*ching*
Done. I bought it.
And now, I have to share my joy. For two reasons: First, that was part of my excuse to buy it (sharing it with you), and second, if you like my blog, you might be a little like me. And if you’re a little like me, you might also find, this is a kindred spirit of yours as well.
Meet your new friend: “Dinner with Mr. Darcy,” a beautiful, pink cook book.
Those are just a few random pages. The whole book is just magical. I can’t wait to spend more time reading it.
Enjoy! And I promise, it is my intention (oh so much) to be back next week with something awesome to put on here. So stay tuned. I can’t wait to share some of my latest projects with you.

P.S. You can buy the book on Amazon at the link below! For cheaper than I got, even with $10 off, I might add. (I’m trying not to dwell on that, lest I get bitter.) Anyway, if you buy the book, let me know what you think of it. I would love to have the pleasure of knowing, you got it cheaper than I did. And that you like it, of course. 😉
It was always a dream of mine to have dinner with Mr. Darcy. Thank you!
Haha, no doubt. 😉 Thanks for the comment!
Omg! I HAVE to get my hands on this book!
