I realize this is a little different than most of my content recently – But I made this cake for my brother and sister-in-law just a few months ago, and since it’s just too cute not to share… I wanted to share it with you. I love making cakes in this sweet, story-book style.

This is actually the third cake I’ve made like this, designed to be a gift that announces a better gift to come – a new baby! My brother and his wife Jenny decided that they wanted to announce the news of their first pregnancy to her parents with this cake, bringing it as a contribution to a dinner party at their house.

The cake tells the news – and then you get to sit back and watch the reaction it receives. And, of course, partake in sweetness of the news as well. 😉
