My favourite times as a kid always involved getting to do things with my older sisters, and most especially if those things involved eating good food. I especially remember loving days where Mom would organize tea parties or meals that involved everyone assembling their own food, passing bowls and plates of good things around the table until everyone got what they wanted, and could arrange everything the way they wanted.
For some reason, the thought of eating yogurt bowls like this for brunch on a sunny day, with my sisters on vacation, is one of the nicest thoughts. Maybe it’s because fresh fruit and yogurt were never very common in our house, and all of these good things on the table all at once, to be eaten and enjoyed as I liked, is just… a really sweet thought to me.
On this particular day, making them for my blog, I wasn’t quite on vacation… but I tried to relish the joy of making them for my younger sisters, giving them a treat I knew I would love when they eventually shuffled into the kitchen looking for breakfast that morning. It was a good time, even if I wasn’t on vacation.
I recommend a little yogurt buffet like this for any special morning – On a birthday, a wedding day, or just a day off… A spread of healthy, beautiful food is a good way to start the day off on the right foot.
Also, just a thought – If you’re working the next day, make an extra one of these in little container and take it in with you for a little treat. <3
While there isn’t really a “recipe” for making these (they are the result of a buffet, after all), I’ll post the list of the ingredients I used here in case you want to recreate these bowls as I have made them. Scroll down for the list!

Also, before I sign off, I need to give credit where credit is due! The little pink bowls were a gift from my boyfriend. I mentioned that I liked them, and he scooped them up and bought them for me… because he’s sweet like that. I’m thankful!
What would you make these for? I’d love to know.
