Spring Flower Cookies

I love spring, and these simple, sweet blossom cookies are just perfect for this time of year. I’ve made cookies like this as favours for bridal showers and weddings, or just as a sweet treat to welcome the season. Regardless of whether you’re serving these on a pretty plate with pastel napkins or packaged up in cellophane bags with a bow – These cookies are always a crowd pleaser. I think they are so sweet looking, and I love how easy they are to make!

A few years ago, I posted a bunch of pictures of some Easter cookies I made in this style, and recently, I posted a tutorial because it seemed like that was a better thing to do than just leave a bunch of pictures up with no comments. (Eh-he, yes, I was too lazy to do it back then.)

…BUT! I’ve changed! So no fear. If you click on the above link, or This One (which goes to the same place), you can check out the method of making these flowers. Although, I do have one disclaimer – As they are pictured here, you should use the method under the section about how I decorated the Easter bunnies and eggs (instead of the flowers)… since these cookies are iced with fondant to have that smooth, “Perfect” look, and that’s how I decorated the cookies in that part of the tutorial.

For this particular batch, I used a soft pink fondant and a pale yellow Royal Icing for the details.

At any rate… I’ll stop rambling. Here’s an excessive number of photos!

Back soon!
