Are you looking for a delicious, refreshing and oh-so-easy to make summer drink? This raspberry limeade is just what you need!

This is such a great recipe to whip up for yourself quickly on a hot day, or to mix up in a larger batch for a crowd. All you have to do is put the ingredients into a mason jar– shake it up– and serve it!

What is raspberry limeade?

Meet the lime version of lemonade, with fresh or frozen raspberries added for a fresh summer twist! This delicious citrus beverage is one of the easiest and most refreshing drinks to make on a summer day.

How to make the best raspberry limeade

While you can certainly make your limeade with bottled lime juice, I would always recommend (for best results) using fresh limes. That alone makes this drink so much better!

Here are my top tips for making the best limeade around:

  1. Use fresh limes
  2. Serve your limeade over ice
  3. Adjust the sweetness to your taste
  4. Use frozen raspberries

Tip: If you find raspberries on a great sale, pick up a bunch of them and use my How to Freeze Fruit tutorial to keep them ready in the freezer for recipes like this, all summer long!

Can make this recipe with lemon juice?

Yes, for sure! In fact, I have a recipe for Strawberry Lemonade following exactly the same method that I use in this recipe.

Can you make this recipe with other fruit?

Absolutely. Try making it with strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, peaches, mangoes, or plums! Just make sure to chop your fruit up nice and small so that the most flavour possible can leach out into the drink.

Other delicious ingredients for making raspberry limeade

If you want to make this recipe a little extra deluxe, try making these substitutes to take this drink to the next level! Just make sure that if you’re adding a carbonated drink to this recipe, you do not shake the limeade in a jar. Rather, stir the sugar till dissolved, or dissolve the sugar in a little bit of warm water, and then add the carbonated drink.

  • Carbonated water (flavoured or plain)
  • Other kinds of fresh fruit (see the ideas listed above)

Can you adjust or substitute the sugar in this recipe?

Of course! This recipe can be made to taste, and you can feel free to use whatever sweetener you like. Just keep in mind that sugar substitutes such as Stevia or Monk Fruit tend to be much sweeter than sugar, and you’ll need a much smaller amount to achieve the same amount of sweetness. If you’re looking to use a sugar substitute, try adding a little bit of your desired sweetener, taste it, and add more as necessary to achieve your desired sweetness.
